Genealogical Reports
Genealogical reports are more than a list of names and dates—they are a well-documented narrative of your family’s history and the connections that link each generation.Prepared with care and grounded in detailed research, these reports present findings in a clear, structured format. They typically include genealogical charts, analysis of historical records, and narrative context that places your ancestors’ lives within their time and place. This option is well suited for clients who want a durable, shareable record of their family history.

Genetic Genealogy
Genetic genealogy combines documentary research with DNA evidence to explore biological origins and identify relationships that may not be visible through records alone.By integrating traditional genealogical methods with DNA analysis, this approach can help clarify geographic ancestry, uncover previously unknown family connections, and develop evidence-based hypotheses that can be tested against historical documentation. This service is well suited for clients who wish to add an additional layer of depth to their family history, address specific research questions, or investigate lines where records are limited or inconclusive.

About the Editions
What is a Lineage edition?
A custom genealogical composition designed from the information you provide. It is structured editorially and produced as a lasting visual object.
What is the difference between Copper, Silver, and Platinum?
Copper presents a refined three-generation structure.
Silver expands the generational depth and visual balance.
Platinum offers an extended lineage composition with maximum generational scope.
Is this a template?
No. Each edition is individually structured. It follows a defined compositional system, but it is built from your specific lineage.
Who owns the final design?
Upon delivery, you may display and print your edition for personal use.
Studio Alerce retains authorship of the underlying compositional system and design structure.
Research & Documentation
Does Studio Alerce verify historical records?
No. Lineage editions are designed from the information you provide. We do not independently verify archival records for this product.
What if I need research or documentation?
Professional genealogical research can be commissioned separately through Alerce Genealogy. Research and design can be developed alongside one another.
Can I commission a Lineage Edition with partial or unverified information?

Ordering Process
How does the process work after purchase?
After selecting your edition, you will complete a structured intake form where you provide names, dates, and relevant details.
For Silver – Couple and all Platinum editions, a paid Structural Review is required first. You will submit your tree for review, and if approved, you will receive a secure checkout link to place your order and access the intake form.
Do Silver – Couple and Platinum editions require a Structural Review?
Yes. Silver – Couple and all Platinum editions require a paid Structural Review before the order can be placed. If approved, you will receive a secure checkout link by email.
What is the Structural Review and is it refundable?
The Structural Review is an eligibility evaluation of your submitted tree to confirm sufficient structure, generational balance, and profile count for the requested edition. It does not include historical verification or research. The Structural Review fee is non-refundable once initiated; if approved, it is applied as credit toward the eligible edition.
Can I review the design before final production?
Yes. A preview is provided for confirmation before the final file or print is delivered.
Can I request changes after submitting my information?
Minor adjustments are possible during the preview stage. Structural changes may require revision fees depending on scope.
Formats & Print
What do I receive with the digital edition?
You will receive a high-resolution digital file, prepared for professional printing.
The file is scalable and can be printed at different sizes without loss of quality.
What size are printed editions?
Printed editions are produced in a 16×20 inch museum-grade paper.
Can the digital design be adapted to any print size?
Yes. The digital file is prepared to be adapted to any size you decide to print.
What type of paper is used for printed editions?
Archival, museum-grade paper selected for longevity and tonal integrity.
Is framing included?
No. Framing is not included.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Shipping options are available worldwide.
Scope & Customization
Can I purchase an edition as a gift without providing the details yet?
Yes. You can purchase first and submit the lineage information later. We’ll send a private link to the information form so the recipient can complete it when ready.
Can I include additional generations beyond the edition limits?
Each edition has a defined structural capacity. If your lineage exceeds that structure, upgrading to the next edition is recommended.
Can I start from a couple or an individual?
When you select the edition you will also select a starting point — an individual or a couple.
Can this be used for citizenship or legal purposes?
No. The Lineage edition is a visual composition, not a legal genealogical report.
Timing & Delivery
What is the production timeline?
Production timelines begin once all required information has been received and confirmed.
Preview: typically delivered within 7–14 business days.
Final files: delivered within 3–5 business days after approval.
Printed editions require additional production and shipping time.
Will I receive tracking information for prints?
Yes, once shipped.
Returns & Refunds
Do you offer refunds or returns?
Due to the personalized nature of each edition, all sales are final and non-refundable.
We do not offer refunds or returns on digital files or printed editions and Structural Review fees are non-refundable once initiated.
Can I cancel after placing an order?
Because each edition is custom-built and production begins after your information is received, orders cannot be canceled once work has started.
